Brahma Muraari-Morning Prayer

(Good) Morning Prayer / सुप्रभात प्रार्थना 

ब्रह्म मुरारी त्रिपुरान्तकारी 
भानु शशि भूमिसुतो बुधश्च 
गुरुश्च शुक्र शनि राहु केतु 
कुर्वन्तु सर्वे मम सुप्रभातम ll  

Brahma, Muraari, Tripuraantakaari,
Bhaanu, Shashi, Bhoomisuto Buddhascha,
Guruscha Shukra, Shani, Rahu, Ketu,
kurvantu sarve mama suprabhaatam

Meaning:
Brahma (The Creator), Muraari ( Krishna/Vishnu,The Preserver),Tripuraantakaari (Shiva -The destroyer of evil and the slayer of the demon Tripura), 
Bhaanu (Sun), Shashi (Moon), Bhoomisuto (the son of the Earth-Mars), Buddhascha (Mercury)
Guruscha (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), Rahu (North), Ketu (South)
kurvantu sarve mama suprabhaatam (all together please make my morning auspicious)

This is a beautiful prayer that can be recited upon waking up in the morning. If you recollect, we learnt another Morning Prayer ( Karagre Vasate Lakshmi) in an earlier post. This (सुप्रभात प्रार्थना) can be recited right after Karagre Vasate Lakshmi as part of a waking-up routine.

This prayer seeks the blessings of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, together with the nine planets - the navagraha, to make our morning auspicious. (A good paraphrase for navagraha would probably be nine celestial bodies because not all mentioned are technically planets.)
